Don't forget Obama gave control of the internet away so "they" could move closer to regulating content.

The first amendment need no longer applies to the internet.
If other entities get control of ICANN and it becomes political they could censor content just as the tech industry is doing now.

We are now at much bigger risk for cyber warfare.
