19" Lcd $130a/r

O.K., got my monitor yesterday. No dead pixels. :D Toned down the brightness a bit, upped the refresh rate, and I'm very happy. Don't know how you could beat it for $130.

The $90 rebate expires already, but PCConnection still listed as that.

Yeah, but its a 17" monitor. I also bought one of these 3G 19" monitors a while back. Now they are $149 plus shipping. A nice monitor with a 3 year warranty.

Hi, wareco
Which monitor do you like better the Hanns·G 19-inch LCD or the GEM 19-inch LCD which is still on sale at the link you provided? Thx
BTW here's a review of the Hanns which I haven't read yet http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1962510,00.asp

Be very wary of those GEM rebates. I bought one and I did get my $100 back but only after several months of hassling w/them and lots of threats and cursing at them. I'll never buy another one, that's for sure.

A little off the subject, hope I am not hijacking this thread, but how does one determine good specs on a LCD. I have budget, mid, and expenisve LCD-Septre DCL, Dell, and expensive Princeton Graphics. All are slightly different. The cheapest is the poorest quality, imagine that.

What is a good response rate, contrast, etc?

How could I determine if the PC Connection is a good deal or just cheap junk that is going to hurt my eyes after 12-14 hours a day?

Your input is appreciated.

Dan
