For a 17 year old, he certainly had good aim and was able to properly use a firearm in a stressful situation. He successfully defended himself againt 3 pieces of garbage. he will be fine, it was self defense.

i called him an “ expert marksman” in another post. I am now calling him a “ sharp shooter “.

I've already posted a dissertation of my opinions on the subject in @exGOPer's post. I wouldn't say going to a riot, and moreover going to a riot armed, is really responsible. There's this concept in CCW circles of not deliberately putting yourself in danger. Makes your case look really bad. While carrying a gun is legal, and as far as I can tell he did nothing illegal going there the optics of the situation are basically as bad as you can make them when it comes time to defend yourself.
I love that he got the guy that tried to hit him in the head with the skateboard. They straight up tried to murder him and took out the trash.
