Most of the additives are put in food for a commercial reason; somehow or other it adds up to the bottom line of corporations making that food - be it increased shelf life of items, increased dependence of consumers on that particular food item etc etc.

A couple of years ago I had high blood pressure, very high cholesterol and was cruising for a stroke or heart attack. I eliminated all processed foods and lived on a diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, some nuts and seeds and some lean protein. Within a year, my entire health profile changed. Majority of people demand these toxins.
Literally, they love aspartame , fluoride, aluminum, HFCS, sugar and alcohol.

Why not sell them this shit?
