12 years ago I got into finance. As, really hired for it. 2 years ago I got out of employed finance, which is nothing but troglodytes working for the powers above. I'm deeply sorry it took me so much to figure out the utter uselessness of the employees and management levels I've had access to but better late than never.

I'm not making money yet but I will, soon enough.

You don't often get the chance of asking a billionaire how he made it, before he got to be a billionaire and thus, be totally subjected to survivor bias. If you don't know what survivor bias is, read Enrico Fermi's reflections on "great generals".

Changing the world.

Don't confuse your purpose with your weapon. In Machiavellian terms 100% returns annually for 8 years sounds very good and I'd definitely not reject that, but that's not what set me in motion in the first place.
 
Good luck changing the world from the pursuit of trading gains. As long as financial engineering pays more than productive activities, the world will stay how it is. It's only after the system has broken down that human resources now being squandered in financial engineering will be freed up and repurposed to change the world.

But no doubt you can change your world.

I'm going to get you a brief glimpse of what lays ahead. If you choose the right path, of course:

1) You're going to expire.

That's not that much of a problem if you're genetically programmed to survive up to 50 years (meaning 5000 versions of you dies before the age of 5 and 50,000 before your age).
Bur eventually, with all your luck and wealth, you're going to expire too. P.S. I'll be there to piss on your grave.


2) I'm in the top unspoken percent of the guys of this world who are going to make it a bit further. Not much, just a bit.
You can hire the top 5% (and you'd miss me), or top 0.0001% and you'd still miss me. You'll never hire me and part of the reason is that the moment you say "hire" I hate you with my guts.

3) I have a plan. And you're not part of it, as my revenge against you.
Or maybe that's how things always worked.
