126 million Americans saw Russia's ads says Facebook

I feel so dumb now. I was actually going to vote for Hillary in 2016, but I saw an ad on facebook and I changed my mind. I said "Well if Trump is putting ads on facebook, I'm definitely voting for him!" Now I find out that it was actually RUSSIA placing those ads. Man, facebook ads are SOOOO powerful.

Speaking of entertainment value, Hillary does this little rap rather regularly where she literally says that the Russian intervention in the election "was highly sophisticated" because they knew to target Wisconsin and Michigan with ads. And obviously they had help and so on and so forth.

Jesus H. You can't make this stuff up. Helloooooo....she was surrounded by people and media barking out day and night that she needed to go there. Maybe the ruskies did something highly sophisticated like watch American political analysts on TV each and every day as even the North Koreans say they do. She makes it sound like there are twelve IBM mainframes in the basement running day and night using a secret programming code that spit out the results from a highly advanced model. Look at a goddam map of the electoral college votes and go there if the polls are looking iffy for god's sake. Sheesh.

Anyway, that's her "proof" that Russian meddling was "quite sophisticated." sheesh on steroids.

Nine months after promising to "lock her up" only Trump's people are being indicted.

But WHATABOUT HILLARY

ANY DAY NOW

I watched Lester Holt report on this last night. At the end of the report I looked at my wife and said, "funny, they didn't mention anything about the content of the ads or who they were directed at".

I'm 1000% sure that if these ads had been pro Trump, that would have been the headline.
As it is, they apparently weren't much different than the run-of-mill political ads (legitimate).

In Facebook's testimony, Stretch calls the content of the Russian-bought ads "deeply disturbing," and says it was "seemingly intended to amplify societal divisions and pit groups of people against each other."

"Most of the ads appear to focus on divisive social and political messages across the ideological spectrum, touching on topics from LGBT matters to race issues to immigration to gun rights," he writes. "A number of the ads encourage people to follow Pages on these issues, which in turn produced posts on similarly charged subjects."

The Russian campaign sought to divide Americans on social issues. Many times pushing ads to different audiences on both sides of the issue (BLM, etc.). The Russian campaign did not seek to promote a particular candidate, it simply was attempting to tear the country apart -- which from the divisiveness we have seen over the past couple of years in the U.S. it clearly had some success.

Yes, because anti-BLM's side with Democrats

They don't get this point no matter how many time it's explained. BernieBros/Antifa/Hardcore Leftists hate Democrats as much as Republicans, splitting their vote is good for Republicans which is why they even sponsored Bernie ads during the primaries.

That makes no sense. If BernieBros/Antifa/Hardcore Leftists hate democrats AS MUCH as Republicans, why would that be good for republicans? You're basically saying that if the vote wasn't split, they'd vote democrat which hardly means they hate democrats AS MUCH as republicans.

Because in a First Past the Post system, you don't win based on proportion of votes, you win if you simply get the most votes - and to get the most votes, you can either win the majority of votes or depress the turnout of your opponent. You don't have to win 51% of 100, you have to win 51% of 70% of the voting population. If you can convince 20% of Dem supporters that voting is not worth it then you only have to win 51% of 66% of voters. Why do you think Republicans try to hard with their voter fraud concerns? To depress minority turnout which directly benefits them.

I am saying that if BernieBros are told that Clinton rigged the primary to beat Sanders, they would sit out the election instead of thinking about EPA or the Supreme Court and that's exactly what happened. Voter enthusiasm is a real thing and Democrats always had a big problem with it. Republicans are fear driven, they will vote for a child molester because they are afraid of Mexicans and Arabs crossing over to shit on their lawns.
