It was because of the advancement in the technology of guns and ammunition. The world never seen casualties and death on that scale before. It made every other war look like child’s play because of the improved weaponry. There were guns in previous wars but they were not so deadly. In fact, most of the killing was done with bayonets prior to the civil war.
So asking me if I would rather people kill each other with knives than guns, the answer is yes. Absolutely. Modern guns are extremely accurate and modern ammunition is extremely deadly.
Something should definitely be done to slow down the rise of liberalism, it causes death and destruction every where it is allowed to grow.
It worked in Louisiana.Over 700 guns were confiscated and not 1 NRA tough guy fired a shot.

No, but gun violence still continued unabated. Looters continued to prey on people (who had their only defense removed). That's precisely what will happen in some national attempt to grab guns - except you'll have large areas where the police will ignore the new law entirely.
Exactly. There are thousands of law enforcement officers who would ignore it, so unless you're planning on unleashing the army in a nationwide house to house raid, it will never work. Reality simply isn't a liberal's strong point.
