Tack on property tax and the USA would be in the top 10. At least in NY anyways.
 
If you're talking about the taxes that fund the pay and benefits of people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (and their stupid ideas), I can't think of a bigger waste of money.

But our friends in Europe aren't far behind. For example, look at the trading tax they want and what they'd do with it:

IF the USA is 85.3, and the 3 illustrative US states are all higher, would be curious where the cheapest place is (no sales tax, no income tax - Dakotas? Wyoming? Other?)

coupled also with cost of living, which does not even register...
