$114 billion to remove 11 million "illegals," full cost up to $620 billion to keep them out

From Center for American Progress:
What Would It Cost to Deport 11.3 Million Unauthorized Immigrants?

Based on previous analysis from the Center for American Progress, a mass deportation strategy would cost an average of $10,070 per person, for a total of $114 billion to remove 11.3 million people.

This figure includes the high costs that would be required to find each and every unauthorized individual. Since two-thirds of the unauthorized population have been in the country for more than a decade, they are well-settled into our families, communities, and schools. Finding every single person without legal status would be a logistical nightmare that would cause significant social and emotional damage to entire communities. CAP’s $114 billion estimate also includes the cost to detain these individuals while they wait for removal, to process them through the immigration courts, and to transport them abroad.

While $114 billion represents a startling sum of money, it is only the direct cost of physically deporting unauthorized immigrants. The cost to the overall economy would likely be far more. The conservative American Action Forum, or AAF, has argued that it would take 20 years to accomplish a mass deportation program, with a full cost between $420 billion and $620 billion.

This higher estimated cost includes both the direct costs of deportations and the hundreds of millions of dollars it would take for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or DHS, to remove 11.3 million people, on top of its responsibilities for border and interior security, over 20 years.

This really damages the right wing's immgration stance, which means: We need more manufactured Clinton scandals.

Only 10K a head? That's cheap. Costs more than that for their free healthcare. Add in the costs to educate their kids, public aid, cost for those that end up in prison. Sheeet, 10K is a bargain. The money isn't the issue. It's the physical act of rounding them up which is problematic.

10K is cheap if all you have to do is dump their ass across the southern border,

what about those from Ireland , Italy , Russia . . . ?
Those are usually hard working people looking for better lives for their families...not gangbangers selling drugs in the hood while living off government programs

The recent media coverage demonstrates that American citizens are demanding action on illegal immigration. No politician yet has devised a realistic plan that takes in account the voices of American voters rather than businesses who exploit immigrants. Americans have come to recognize if you don't know who is in your country then you do not effectively "own" your country.

However any plan that includes the mass deportation of illegal immigrants will undermine the U.S. economy and will be a logistically nightmare that is not supportable in the long run.

I would propose a better approach would involve three points:

1) Stop all illegal entries on the southern U.S. border via enhanced policing, improved fencing, advanced technology (drones & detectors), and proper border funding.

2) Provide a 90 day period where all illegal immigrants in the U.S. must register with the government. Background checks would be processed - those with any criminal history including drunk driving will be deported. Those not registering will be deported (no second chance) when caught.

3) Provide all registered illegal immigrants with a 6 year work visa. After 6 years they can leave, renew for six years, or join the standard list to get a green card. There may also be a requirement to learn English to a level necessary to pass a version of the TOEFL exam in order to stay for all adults.

The plan above makes much more sense than a mass deportations

One interesting aspect of this entire situation is that the U.S. is facing a pending declining population crisis due to lower birth rates. Japan, Europe, and Russia actually face more acute problems with declining populations that will occur within a couple of decades - the U.S. faces a similar problem in about 40 years. The funding of social programs such as social security depends on an expanding work force.

This leads to the reality that in about 60 years the U.S will be attempting to attract immigrants to the U.S. - I expect the problems may be so dire that the government will be paying immigrants to locate to the U.S. - the most likely source of immigrants would be Mexico and other southern nations that our citizens are currently so focused on deporting illegal immigrants back to.

the real number is a lot close to 30 million.
There are probably 15 million illegals in Southern CA alone.
If we really close the border, I would not even request we deport them ( I like mexicans) I just don't want them voting for democrats or establishment republicans.

What about these Irishers ? .

are they your family members also ? . ?

Giant spiders set to invade Irish homes for mating season

MI-false-widow-spider.jpg

As summer comes to an end, giant mature spiders are getting set to invade Irish homes in the coming weeks.

Irish arachnologist Myles Nolan told the Irish Independent that large male spiders will invade homes in greater numbers as they go on the hunt for adequate breeding partners throughout the late summer and autumn months.

“Giant might be too strong a word to use for these spiders but they certainly are large. They can have a leg span of up to 3cm which might be intimidating to those who are fearful of them.

620 Billion over 20 years is 31 billion a year. That's peanuts. How much does it COST to support those 11 million illegals, in terms of healthcare, education, welfare, foodstamps, criminal justice, incarceration and intangible costs like the crime and homicides they're responsible for?

Trump is right. You either have a country or you don't. Many of the illegals coming over the open border are middle eastern and chinese. During a terror war. You'd have to be some kind of fucking moron, like Convertability is. All the drugs and cartels are bringing shit through the border too. Very stupid folks. Deport their asses, build a wall, man it with ground penetrating radar.
