To be clear, the purpose of my post was to show that we offer access, and yes other brokers too, to a wide variety of symbols that can be traded, both long and short in a securities account. The vast majority are marginable. Not everyone is comfortable buying and selling the cryptocurrencies and might not want to take money out of their trading accounts for a short-term trade. In addition, some of these offer a portfolio of them with exposure to other industry players. Some have or will have options. I was not judging if one should buy or sell them. I do think the NAV to Share prices will continue to narrow and I do not own any myself. My list is now up to 38 symbols.

Why is it good? BTC has proven to be a much better investment than even the best tech stocks.
High volatility is bad for returns? So I guess the geniuses at Vanguard never got into NFLX, AMZN NVDA, etc.
New wars must be financed.
Theyve taken a stance.
Theyve decided to shun the new and volatile crypto world,announce it from the rooftops and hope to be the go to entity for the conservative and cynical.
Old money/Big money(they have trillions under management)doesnt need volatility and it doesnt need risk.And they dont like to see their partners exposed to same.So its clever marketing.
Win or lose,I think its smart.
If you realise you cant keep up with the ruthless,trail blazing,risk hungry Blackrock,you shift the conversation slightly to where it appears youre not even trying to compete and you are instead the steadfast,slow but steady,rock of the industry.
I believe they'll regret not capitalising but I respect the play.

This should now give stocks more volatility and suppress crypto volatility.
I am not sure when you are 'theoretically' supposed to move money from stocks, bonds, treasuries, and cash into these. I don't understand the point of these and the ridiculous bid/ask option spreads and how they will be correlated to the Magnificent 7 stocks moving forward.
