$1000 Fine and up to 6 Months in Jail

Calif has an Epidemic of Sniffers and Felchers in Hollywood and The Hospitality biz, many are closet Conservatives.

I don't doubt that. Are you under the impression it is they that drive the idea of fining and jailing someone who serves plastic straws?

What am I missing here? Why the hate for straws? I mean (I would imagine) straws make up less than .0000000001% of the U.S.'s daily plastic disposal.
Is there something about straws? What about the millions of single serving water bottles/day?
This is just dumb.

I remember those! Strawberry, too.

Heh, None of you guys want to admit that you went for the vanilla straws- showing early signs of white supremacy.

Arnie revealed that he went for the chocolate- taking a little walk on the wild side.
Wayyyy to go Arnie.

I sure hope though that when the Mexicans start smuggling straws into California to meet the American's insatiable demand for straws, that they will still be able to get the straws through that big, beautiful wall that Trump builds.
Might have to build a wall between Oregon and Nevada too to keep those straws from coming in. I heard that they are thinking of making jujyfruits a felony because the name is some kind of hate speech or something.

If a food server in CA gives you a straw and you didn't ask for it.

114082. A food facility where food may be consumed on the premises shall not provide single-use plastic straws to consumers unless requested by the consumer. For purposes of this section, a food facility shall not include the facilities listed in subdivision (b) of Section 113789.

So you can live there illegally and hide from the Feds, collect benefits, get away with murder... but serve a Coke with a straw and your ass is going to jail.

"Hey man, what are you in for"?
...."Straws".

wtf :D

Perhaps I'm not fully awake yet. Could you please direct me to the text referring to the imposition of a $1,000 fine along with the risk of imprisonment?
