Does anyone know where I could find out real-time volatility numbers from the floor of the 10 year options pit? Does Bloomberg have them? Is there a cheaper alternative?

Bloomberg has the real-time vols but this is obviously not a cheap alternative. Only other suggestion would be to call up your broker and have him ask the pit, but this will annoy them if you are doing it every 10 minutes. Wish I could help more.
 
Bloomberg will give you traded vols, but it's a bit overkill if you're only looking for CBOT data. Microhedge is an excellent app at $500/month + exchange fees. It's now a Sungard product.
 
Thanks everybody! Steps in the right direction... I haven't had a chance to look at the ivolatility site during open hours yet. How often does it update and I would imagine that it is delayed.

Hey riskarb, how would I use microhedge to get the floor vol numbers? It just looks like a frontend. I think I am missing something.

The cheapest way would be to pay for a DDE link and plug it into an Excel spreadsheet. There you can formulate till your heart's content !

More...

The "traded vols" will highlight on your quote screen based upon a last trade on the futs. It's easy to derive the vols as it's an absurdly-liquid option contract.
