10 Signs That Obamacare Is Going To Wreck The U.S. Economy

Quote from LEAPup:

Taking a look at #4, I'm shaken! Can you imagine what's going to happen to the economy when large employers are FORCED to either buy health coverage for each employee, or pay a fine of $2,000-$3,000 per employee?!??!?:eek: :eek: :eek: A smaller business can get around it by doing the part time thing, but for large businesses (walmart, for example), can't get around it. The math doesn't work. My God is this a nightmare! It's like the tyrant son of a bitch is INTENTIONALLY trying to crash the economy! :mad:

I'm going to buy more food preps, and ammunition today. We're in deep, DEEP shit!:(

Keep in mind that most, if not nearly all, large companies have health insurance for employees. Mine, for instance, did not change at all.

I'm concerned that their premiums are also going to skyrocket.

Quote from LEAPup:

Outstanding! I'll buy the 1st round next time you're in town. That is if we still have a town at that point.:(

Actually starting next week I begin my annual season of going back and forth to Stuart. It shouldn't be too long before I stay overnight in your neighborhood.

Will be interesting to see. Our plan has a high deductible, which we always hit. I think it's on par with public policies out there, but we do get a deposit onto an HSA account from the company as well, provided we pass a wellness exam.

I asked about our company plan yesterday. Supposedly we'll find out what the damage is going to be in Dec or Jan.

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

If the policies were so terrible, why are people angry that they are being cancelled? Because they are so stupid they need help from the wise and beneficent minions at HHS?

Listening to some of the idiots yesterday during Sebelius testimony, hearing some others on TV I've heard various people (Dems) says the high deductible policies are "scams", "not legitimate", "illegal".

While in the car yesterday I could tell when a number of these bozos were merely reading some script. I desperately wanted to call in and say"No, we like our policy. We're both educated -- my wife has 2 degrees and I have 3. We are not stupid and do not need morons in Washington telling what is best for us."

This is why we are livid.

I give them credit for providing this in the end.

Dem = 43
Rep = 34
Other = 6

note : Teaparty = 22.

and this...

Very liberal ........................................ 7
Somewhat liberal .............................. 15
Moderate........................................... 39
Somewhat conservative .................... 20
Very conservative ............................. 16
Not sure .......................................... 3

Conclusion this was D plus 9 poll. And we know Rs in the past are more like to vote than Ds.

a. No wonder the dems try to mariginalize the teaparty. They are are huge part of the voting electorate.

b. Seeing that Conservatives dominate even in this D plus 9 poll.
How the hell are the establishment Republicans finding ways to lose.

I will tell you... The establishment Rs are suppressing the conservative vote.

What we need is smart truly conservative - Anti obamacare. reduce or eliminate income taxes, cap the budget type person who does not piss off women and can speak a little spanish.

Could win in a landslide like Reagan.

Damn she's good...
i think you're giving her way too much credit AAA. This dope was outright lying about the plans being cancelled. they are not all 'frauds' probably not even a discernible % of them. She should have called him out for that bullshit, instead she kept saying "well people bought them, they were selling." There is nothing fraudulent about a catastrophic policy, in fact they are/were the BEST policy for young/healthy individuals. most people losing their coverage are going to get less from obamacare for the same price, it has to be that way to cover the new risk in the system, a similar policy just has to cost more.

oh and i think i heard a sound byte yesterday of the prez specifically saying "if you have a catastrophic policy you like, you can keep it." haha, i can't see how any catastrophic plan could possibly fit the ACA rules if other, more comprehensive plans don't.

The ACA includes price controls. Those have a 2500 year history of never working. It's guaranteed to be a real mess.

Democrats started their War on Poverty in the Johnson Admin and now poverty is rampant. They started subsidizing education about that time and the price has skyrocketed while a diploma doesn't even get a person a job. They wanted to stop the practice of "redlining" with regard to home loans in their voters' districts and that led to the housing crash debacle. They agreed nearly 100% to the War on Terror and now there is more terrorism than ever before. Somehow, it won't surprise me if healthcare becomes astoundingly screwed up.

There will actually be death panels. That is because there will have to be rationing and there will have to be decisions made as to who gets care. Insiders in the British system have said that there are definitely death panels. News has leaked out about how hundreds die of starvation every year because the system is so rationed that they don't have time to feed people! That's hard to believe on the surface of it but in the light of the abysmal failures all over caused by the Left it seems quite reasonable to assume it's really like that.
