Every bloody winter! Just made worse by stupid jabs and masks and social distancing.
Hate to break it to you, but the young and healthy are getting severely ill, being hospitalized and dying currently at much higher rates than before (precisely because a lot more of that age group is not vaccinated), and that includes higher rates of severe illness and hospitalization among teens, adolescents, and even babies. Pediatric ICUs are full with Covid cases in many regions of America.
With regard to Sweden... long ago Sweden realized it had made a mistake with its policies as it ultimately had 10x the deaths of countries around it, and its economy was depressed just as much as those countries that shut down when it did not. Currently, Sweden is just beginning its Covid Delta upswing, and epidemiologists are expecting a spike in the coming months.
Nonsense. When Sweden had no Covid containment measures (meaning it was status quo, same as before Covid), they had some of the worst infection rates in Europe.
Later on Sweden had plenty of measures, schools went to online learning, masks were mandatory and social gatherings limited to a small amount of people. It's not a lockdown but it's not far from it.
Sweden's death rate is likely low because they are generally healthy people - unlike the US and many other countries, they don't have an obesity and diabetes epidemic for example. That makes all the difference with Covid.
