Most military coups thru history have been by some General who wanted to be dictator for life. In America what we'd need would be some General who could command enough respect and support from the rank and file.... to displace the radical government heads in order to restore constitutional principles for the government... 2 requirements, not just "get rid of the bastards"...

Any indication there is such a man in the picture? Patraeus? McChrystal? Powell?

Powell & bush never were conservative or libertarian by any degree.

People were so desperate for a leader they mistakenly thought powell was it just because doing his job got him into the media spotlight.

IOW conservatives were duped just like this bart stupak deal hanging their hat on the flimsiest of feigned support when it really was just holding out for maximum political leverage not principle.

This may have been mentioned, the reason Obama recieved more from troops is because he promised to bring them home. Plain and simple that is it.

He hasnt done that. I doubt very seriously he will be given anything close to the same amount of money from them next time.

Watch them jam through (in the same manner as Obamacare/Tyranny) "Cap and Tax", and "Amnesty For Illegal Aliens" (a bribe to bolster Democrat support) before the 2010 election.
