10 Reasons You Should Never Have a Religion

neo comments about catholic and protestant churches ring with some truth. I noticed plenty of people who swung from one end of the spectrum to the other and did seemingly replace drugs or something similar with God.

But to imply or infer that churches are not filled with some of the brighest most self examined people is a mistake.

What is so funny to me about pseudo intellectuals - is that so many of them go around saying there is no God. They think they know things about science and evolution.

There are plenty of bright people who are agnostic. By definition there are almost no bright people who are true atheists.

There are tons of people who proclaim there is no God and think science supports them because they have been misled by opinion shapers. On a pro rata basis there are far more boneheads who don't believe in God than those who do.

At least in college educated circles.

For all intents and purposes, an agnostic is a politically correct atheist. An agnostic does not worship a personal god in the absence of valid evidence, and an atheist skeptic would not discount valid evidence because it is the pursuit of valid evidence that guides him. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

we now have over 2000 years of accumulated evidence and knowledge in the search for gods. we have the ability to analyze water and detect parts per billion of contamination. we can look into the heavens and detect objects thousands of light years away. we have microscopes that look at the tinyest particles. in all this time there has never been a shred of evidence found that pointed to any gods other than the writings of primitive men. at what point do we just admit that there is nothing up up there?
how smart are you that you cant see or understand this fact? you cant consider yourself bright when you are willing to drink grape juice and pretend that its some long dead deitys blood and actually believe that you are interacting with that deity.

carlin had it right regarding religion. youtube it.

Listening to a comedian on the topic of metaphysics and then believing one is therefore 'educated' on the matter is tantamount to a broker who sells fidelity freedom mutual funds and calls himself a trader

A comedian is as much of an authority on "god" as anyone, and perhaps more so than most.

You don't want to be a comedian in
British Columbia. lol

its funny how they want to prevent hate, yet it makes a lot of people hate them. lol

science is logic/reason, religion is faith. the battle between faith and reason has no real solution without the removal of hypocrisy.

but when you take out reason from an argument and base it on "feelings/emotions?"

oh my GOD!

"Freedom of speech is an American concept, so I don’t give it any value.” —Canadian “Human Rights” Investigator Dean Steacy, responding to the question “What value do you give freedom of speech when you investigate?”

HAHAHAAHAHA

Welcome to the new church of anti reason.

Like in the Dark ages, the truth is not a defense.
