Austin, even better. If your friend does have the funds, see if he can get his doctor to contact a company in Houston called Introgen. They have a drug that is gene therapy based, its already being copied in China prior to FDA approval cause of its efficacy, and the results reported have been highly successful. The side effects are less severe than traditional treatment. I am not saying your friend will be able to aquire the drug, I am saying that is what I would attempt to do if I was in his situation is attempt to gain access to the drug. If he can't get it here, buy the ticket to China. My thoughts are with your friends longevity.
