1/6 is Hispanic. USA unofficially a Latin American Country

Quote from jax88:

Why the fuck should we accommodate them, why don't they try to assimilate to our culture?

Why? Because your culture is being displaced, and those orchestrating this are looking forward to erasing it from the history books (at least as you know it). Both anti-white and globalist special interest groups look forward to the day when the USA is a multi-ethnic colony rather than a nation, simple as it is.

Totally dude. Hate that shit when I have to press 1 for english and 2 for spanish. I came to this country when I was in the 4th grade, spoke no English whatsoever. I learned it just like everyone else that did before me, and my parents did the same. Why the fuck should we accommodate them, why don't they try to assimilate to our culture? The neighborhood I used to live in the 1990s is now Mexico. 99% of the people there are Mexicans. It was a thriving community back in the day. Now it is a shit hole. I even wrote a paper on this neighborhood and how the people there moved outward as they learned English, put their children through college and found better working opportunities as a result of it.

in many cases those phone menus are start in Spanish and only after that you can choose between spanish and english. imo-all of this is just encouraging illegal immigrants to go into USA and this "practice" should be banned,if those in DC, are really care about illegal immigration.
dont get me wrong,i have nothing against mexicans, as long as they are legal in this country. most of them peaceful, hard working people, but those double language signs just drive me crazy.

Fair is fair I suppose.

So once the native Russian speakers comes somewhere close to equaling the number of native Spanish speakers we should take care of that.

"Spanish is the second most-common language in the United States after English. There are more Spanish speakers in the U.S. than there are speakers of Chinese, French, Italian, Hawaiian, and the Native American languages combined. According to the 2009 American Community Survey conducted by the United States Census Bureau, Spanish is the primary language spoken at home by over 35.5 million people aged 5 or older.[1] There are 45 million Hispanics who speak Spanish as a first or second language [2] and there are 6 million Spanish students,[3] making it the world's second-largest Spanish-speaking community, only after Mexico and ahead of Spain, Colombia and Argentina.[4] Roughly half of all U.S. Spanish speakers also speak English "very well", based on the self-assessment Census question respondents.[5]"

i live in neighborhood, where most of the citizens are russians..probably 50-70% or so..60K or around that..there is no spanish speaking people in this neighborhood ...to be "fair"signs in our home depot should be in russian...yet they are in spanish..i'm still offended..probably i should sue the home depot..imo in this country i have better chances to hit the jackpot by suing someone, instead of trying to make a living trading stocks :p

First, I was being sarcastic...guess that didn't come through. My point is who cares if signs are in English and another language? It takes no time to decipher whether we are adequately literate in the language or not, or rather, can't read Spanish but can read English and they're BOTH on a sign, ignore the Spanish and read the English...what does it matter if there are additional languages on there?

Second, I'm not sure I understand your comment...can you please restate it?

My apologies to you Jack as I did not sense any sort of sarcasm in your statement. I'm glad you went on to state that. I originally commented saying it's an advantage to know another language like spanish if you live an an area with lots of spanish speakers. If you know both languages, you could pick and choose what language you would read in. This might make you a faster sign reader. Now, that would be fun... or would it not be?

I swear, its like none of you have ever been outside of the USA. In almost any country you go to, there will be a few places with signs in the language of the neighboring country(and most countries have signs in english in at least a few places).

I really think people in this country are psycho that it bothers them so much to see a sign or hear a language that they dont understand.

Quote from Bob111:

i hate this ..everything in US is in two languages..signs in the stores, manuals, phone menus, bills, everything...wtf is wrong with this country? US official language is ENGLISH. everything must be in ENGLISH only. you don't like it? fuck off, go back to your country.

Glad to hear you're a native American....

I am not sure it is accurate to say most the people flooding across the border are Hispanics.

Most of them appear to be Central American and Mexican Indians with no spanish blood. These people are in fact heavily discriminated against (second class citizens) in their homelands.
The white Hispanics who actually run mexico and central america are all to happy to have their underclass move here.

100% CORRECT

Actually Latin America exports their low class to the US. Then these guys wire money back home. 1/3 of Mexico GDP comes from Mexicans wiring money back home. White latinos usually do very well in their countries. Their numbers here are very small with the exception of cubans like me. Cuba is not about race or $$, but party membership and family connections.

It may be time to explore Canadian citizenship!

It's really easy to obtain if you are a US citizen.

Most Hispanic are actually merging and accepting US culture very fast. English becomes 1st language for those 14 or less.

By the time it gets to the 2nd generation (born in USA). 50% won’t be able to be fluent in Spanish. 3rd generation goes up to 90%.

You got to see these groups of middle school Mexicans, Colombians, Cubans.......all talking to each other in English and proud Americans.

FACT: English speaking Latinos discriminate against non English speaking ones.
