I'm going to call bs on this. There is no way Obama can allow the UN to tax American's directly through the use of treaty. I don't see how it's possible to bypass congress on this issue. This is insane.

If the US ever does allow the UN to tax us then whatever is left of this great nation is then gone.

I just don't see how it's possible to impose taxation upon American's through the UN via use of a treaty. I'm not saying Obama wouldn't like to do it though.

Regardless of your opinions of parties and news networks, all you have to do is look at the UN agenda and what they have on the table. ALL of the above in that article is on the table. And if you think O cannot get around congress...he has already issued over 100+ executive orders this year do that.

Take liberal socialists seriously. They only pretend that they are good and generous types like every skilled criminal does. Many nations paid price thinking that they are nice guys and nothing bad will happen. Once they are in power watch your wallet and guard your life.

first of all, the use of the term "liberal" is completely misguided in this thread. we have discussed this before about half a year and countless pages back, but apparently that hasn't really hit home yet.
i'm sure there are elements within the UN who would love to have the power to tax nations directly, but a Fox News puppet who writes in the months leading up to the election this, and a lot of other big fundamental changes in the way the US operates, will all happen in 1 Obama administration, is clearly scaremongering, not writing facts. Even if Obama (let alone all other developed countries, or do you think US will be the only one to pay this fictious UN-tax; ffs, the world cannot even agree on an ftt) would want to make these kind of changes, which he hasn't expressed any interest in, he wouldn't be able to. If anything the first Obama term has showed us all the things he did want but wasn't able to do either. The direct UN-tax thing is completely rubbish, and you are all intelligent enough to know that. They're aiming for the stupid crowd who really takes this kind of garbage serious. Now let's get back to what is a real threat, the FTT.. Obama obviously didn't think this was a good idea his first term, and it would be nice to know if he still thinks so now Geithner will be gone.
