1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

No doubt about it. I think she's angling herself to be some sort of leftist populist of some sorts on the show, akin to Dennis Kneale or Michelle Caruso-Cabrera being the wannabe Ayn Rands. She always looks uncomfortable, and I always keep thinking that the whole segments with Cramer are a big joke (which probably are, but for her it's on a different level). Perhaps I'm wrong.

Looking at her profile, she was an analyst at Goldman, a veep at Citigroup, you'd think she would know better! Wow...not that I think about it, I'm wondering how the hell did she get all that done at her age and then end up on CNN and then Bloomberg. Bitch moves up fast.

Still, she really has it in for day traders. She obviously thinks speculation is "evil". I don't think this is the last of her crusade against traders. :(

Quote from jj69:

WTF is it with her? Another piece on trader tax by Burnett on streetsigns and she keeps lingering on "would this really hurt anyone"? She cannot be cured.

I think when Street Signs comes on, I'll turn her off. She's a troll and big whoop she has Cramer doing his bear on a unicycle routine!

What's her email address? .. couldn't find it on the site. She needs to be informed of the fact that a trans. tax hurts cnbc sponsors, who indirectly pay her salary. I don't understand the network's letting her continue to promote this.

Maybe we need to be emailing the boss instead.

You can email AMERITRADE, SCOTTRADE & ETRADE who advertise on cnbc & tell them your views. That's who help pay cnbc's bills.

Initiate a boycott of Street Signs?

Exactly, but doubtful they would go to the trouble of contacting cnbc over it ... until it was too late.

Don't be so sure.

They know it will KILL their profits if it goes through.

Activetraders are the retail broker's huge profit center.

Simple email, I will no longer watch CNBC due to the networks explicit support of an investor tax. But there will be no tax, and to worry about this is a waste of time.

for what its worth in the us communique for the g20 they omiitted any talk of transaction talk on the agenda. whicn europe wanted. so thats good plus we see the big leftists want it in europe. there governments are speakin out not ours. ours doest even want to cap bonuses and europe does. so until they speak out here in govermnent that is no need to worry. the head of sweden has the eu rotatin presidency, and hes opposes it, because he knows first hand what it did to their country when they had one.
