Sorry man, but you are delusional in my opinion. You are living in some fantasy reality that thinks capitalism solves every problem.
Corporations have unbridled power to do as they wish these days, and they are not about what is good for America at all.
Regulations are being repealed by the new GOP majority in the house, the right leaning Supreme Court open the floodgates for the corporations to buy politicians, the politicians both left and right are bag men for their corporate sponsors, labor unions are being dismantled, and the money is all flowing to the top...not to all of the people.
Trickle down is a lie, and so is "competition in a free market solves all the problems." There is no such thing and a free market, and I assure you, if one were to exist...it would not stay that way, as those who gained power would change the rules to their favor as soon as they could.
Why do you think in so many cities, businessmen run for city council, etc.? For the good of the community, or so they can grease the wheels for businesses to profit.
Jobs for the people are not a goal of capitalism, they are a side effect which work when the corporations are restricted from moving offshore by taxation and other penalties.
Right now, you have rules that favor business and profit that are out of whack...but do you see more jobs being created? Nope, because capitalism is actually consumerism. Major corporations are sitting on the largest amount of cash ever...and are they investing in new technology? Oil companies have never been fatter, and are they investing their untaxed ungoldly profits in the development of new energy? No way.
Yet, people like you who are brainwashed into some thought of a Utopian fantasy where a free market solves all the problems.
Just foolishness, and a detachment of the reality of the world today, globalization, and the information and technology age.
Quote from Mercor:
The Government is what gives power to the corporations. They do this by regulating them, forcing them to pay a minimum wage, giving them deductions for charity, TIFF;s, tax reliefs, no bid contracts...etc.
This all hinders the only true check and balance, competition. Remove the minimum wage, government sweet deals, mandatory health care..etc Give new business a fair chance to squeeze into the market place with better products , better culture, better good for society. All things, if done on their own, will endear themselves to a more satisfied customer thus raising the bar for the next company to come along.
