try to trade on strong support/resistance break out. It doesn't matter what to trade, just try to find serious support/resistant level and enter into position by "stop" order. Put stop immediately above/below support. Cover 1/2 or 1/3 of you position in several point such a way, that even if futures is reversed, you will loose 0. On serious support/resistance level you can have very high probability that if level is broken than futures will move same direction at least several additional points cos avalance of "stop" orders is executed. So you may have position where you either 0 or futures continue to move in your direction. Use trailing stop to exit. Seriously.

I'm trading futures for russian stock index cos I live in russia, I doubt that you can trade it, but it doesn't matter cos you can trade something else. It attached pics you can see what I'm talking about. At RTS.png picture you can see red "support" line. Only thing you have to do is to wait until you see that price touched same level at least 2 times during several hours. Than you have to set "stop sell" order just below that line and wait. As soon as those line crossed third time you will have open short position, so you have to set "stop buy" order couple of points above that line immediately. Exit part of your position such a way that you will have 0 loss even if price reversed and crossed you "buy stop". Use trailing stop to exit in profit. It attachment you can see pics for XOM and XLE for yesterday. Same way to trade. You can do it, just be very disciplined .
