09-18-2008: we hit bottom today

I don't pay much attention to the VIX so I can't say for sure but I do look at the ISEE Sentiment index and it's absolutely bearish 50-70s... usually a bounce occurs at these levels.

The 666 is just a bonus. It's divine intervention :D
 
I don't think this market will be looking back anytime soon. This is a massive bounce across the board and I see 1300 very soon for sure.

1400 is too far for me to see :)

Shorting the Yen, too.

Even I'm surprised at the strength of this bounce :eek: I thought we'd end at 1180-ish.

I'm not going to remember today. I bought at vix 36. by the time it hit 40 I just had to close my eyes, shut my platform down and take a walk :p

When the VIX hit 42 I plugged my nose and sold (to close) SPY puts and bought OCT OTM calls. Certainly not an all or nothing bet though.

hehe I went to the gym around VIX 36 myself! Good to get away from the screen before I get emotional and do something stupid that isn't according to my plan.
