    The New South America Union.

Wouldn't the smartest thing for Brazil be to use their vast natural resources to manufacture end products and export them, instead of exporting the raw materials? Profit margins would be much higher.

When you see a few major countries' economies blowing up due to massive inflation, the dollar bottom will be close. This is like getting rid of the competition by playing a game of who can hold their breath the longest, while knowing full well you have the biggest oxygen tank.

    Brazil's Tupi Oil Field

mmm...I'm guessing that's not a very good measurement for the size of an oil field. Ghawar Field in Saudi Arabia, the world's largest field at 71 billion barrels, 'only' has about 2.2 years of global supply(or had at one point in time).

When Will Crude Hit $40/barrel again?

Optimisticaly I would say those changes would take at least a decade to happen + make an impact. The technology must arise, it needs to be accepted and funded, infrastructure must be built, new vehicles would need to become cost effective, etc... Its not a bag I wanna hold.

Buy(or cover) in May and go away

Simple logic here: If: Bull Market Then: Sell in May and go away If: Bear Market Then: Buy(or cover) in May and go away* Logical progression leads to the down trend resuming later in the year, after a mid-year pause. This would mean commodities pause here and resume uptrend later...

666, the Euro & the Antichrist to appear soon?

My theory is the euro when up so fast it distorted the space-time continuum and created a wormhole. Soon it will travel back in time.

WSJ: Banks could be lying about libor

Are you kidding me, it is a big f'ng deal. Not only because of the amount of money involved in transactions which use the LIBOR, but also because it is a major benchmark. If it is found unreliable, it casts a more doubt on a system which doesn't need anymore stress.
