I read your post and you are right the liquidity scalpers are flooding the level 2 boxes. But you are wrong as far as ECN's falling. Yes LSPD fell, but that was mostly because of shady business practices. INCA, ARCA, BRUT, ISLD all give rebates, I don't see instinet falling anytime soon.

I am sorry but that commission really bites for a scalping strategy. Apparently you aren't aware of other firms with no capital requirements and almost non-existent commission for scalpers, no desk charge isn't a biggy , because if you do pay one you are a fool !!

This type of trading is very simple, yet can be dangerous in certain situations. I strictly trade like this with rebates, but I also try and take money from the market. 5 Million shares a day can add up to a lot of rebates my friends. 15 Million shares in one day is the record over here...

There are many types of scalping , I think that 20 to 40 cents would be the furthest thing from pure scalping. 4-5 cents or less is the purest of the sort.

Well my last post is slightly off, as of today I did around 5Million shares. Every share done on WCOME. My reserve size was varying between 25K - 50K. I found it quite frightening at points. P&L $9000. My costs are somewhat nonexistent. 85% rebates. Other stocks to test SUNW, ORCL. ECN...
