    Can TradeStation backtest intraday/tick data

It has been a number of years since I've looked at TradeStaion. I called and spoke with a Rep who told me that absolutley TradeStation could do the following backtesting: -scan for gap up on the open (all stocks, gap amount greater than .50)- This was an area I had a problem with in the...

    Esignal?

Esig is and has been great. although I am a bit concerned....since things have been creeping in. Last time I used TS quotes (few months ago) they were ALOT slower than IB's. might be worth re-comparing them. cas

    Esignal?

aside from the connection issues today...which I had..the quotes on the Depth are getting slower and slower. My FREE quotes on IB are always moving ahead of esig now..and at times are a second or two ahead of esig. That is a huge lag. Its not just me...I have confirmed this with other esignal...

Comments on eSignal 7.x and above

One thing I haven't seen mentioned in awhile (or I missed it) was when esignal will be adding ECN's to listed quotes. Also...how about giving us the ability to have more than one level (the top currently) of the ECN depth. It's nice to see the top 3 levels or so of the ECN depth NASDAQ or...

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

Don, What do you make about the recent calls to get rid of the specialist system? Curious if you have any insight on where that is going. Fidelity was just today saying it needs to go. Thanks, cas

    Price of Tradebolt

I know that Wealth-Lab just added auto-trading functionality to their program as well. I have not used it..so I can't comment on how well it works. I am going to evaluate Traderassistant this week. I used Dynaorder sometime ago. It worked, but was not as easy to setup as TradeBolt. cas

    Price of Tradebolt

Well, I wrote them an e-mail about it, and have not heard back from them yet. And yes, it is their right to price as they please....but the reality is that if a trader trades 2 contracts, with 10 round trips per day on average, that would be $40/day, or $800/month in an added fee. That is a...

    Price of Tradebolt

Well I just got the notification today that on the 12th I will be charged $1 per SIDE for futures trades if I wish to continue using Tradebolt with Tradestation to IB. I would have been more than happy to have paid them for their software, but I am not going to increase my transaction cost by...

    Any news from eSignal 7.5?

Chuck, Since you are adding new integrated brokers..when is the one with IB going to be fixed so that it is usable? That would serve ALOT of people here at ET. I have been asking about it for months.....as have other people. see:http://forum.esignal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2836...

    Trading Vendor Nightmare -- tetradynamics

Yeah, AMEX has reversed charges more than once without any question on things. (that puts the burden of proof back on the vendor) It's the only reason I keep it...for online purchases....becasue they have a no-hassle policy about online stuff. My BofA platinum is the same way. Either way...

    Trading Vendor Nightmare -- tetradynamics

If you paid via a credit card (hopefully) and you have a good credit card that really backs up things like this (AMEX), then just have them dispute it..and document all of your attempts for refunds, etc. good luck. cas
