    Worst CNBC shows

Kudlow's show is the worst. Any segment with dennis Neale is sometimes as bad, if not worse.

Who is the most worthless on CNBC? I vote Bob Pisani

What's fair is fair ... Neale's "parting shot" re: high yielding, highly rated munis is probably worth looking into.

Who is the most worthless on CNBC? I vote Bob Pisani

ByLoSellHi ... Very clever presentation ... I have issues w/Gasparino - but not like Neale or Kudlow. Gasparino is a nightmare when he is part of a forum. And whenever there is a beef between the upper mgt. of an investment of an inv. bank and the SEC - he seems to "can't believe" these...

Who is the most worthless on CNBC? I vote Bob Pisani

It is between Kudlow and Neale. Between the two - I pick Neale as the worst. Kudlow is at least a bit clever in obfuscating the truth. Neale? ... Good economic report - "See, look - the economy is okay !!!" Bad economic report - "Oh, this is an aberration" ... "Oh...

I escaped cuba to leave communism and now this!

You "escaped Cuba" to avoid their 28% capital gains tax? So ... that's all that's "wrong" with Cuba ? As they say on Saturday Night Live ... "Really?"

    IRS Trader tax code

Caru423 I use the firm DiMaggio and Robinson. They are very familiar with trading issues. And I have found their rates to be very reasonable, as well. I use Rob Robinson. You can reach him at 312-658-1000 Extension #1074.

    Desperately Seeking Prop Firm

DLama - In a previous post, you wrote this ... " As a point a reference, I had a discussion with a firm that offered 65% of the profits and I didn't have to put up any money. They said I would initially get 2 million dollars in buying power and I would get my payout monthly, assuming...

    Oil Traders and airline hedges

Fearless, Like eric asked earlier - what exactly are you trying to figure out? Is it is how much of the cost is hedged? Or is it the formula for the price they pay?

    Oil Traders and airline hedges

I would doubt it. The info is generaly released quarterly - so I don't see how there would be enough traffic on this issue to support a website. I think if you go to the annual reports of the airlines you can find it pretty quickly. The only other suggestion is to google "jet fuel"...

Two 15 year successful day traders, why is one protective and other Isn't

Two 15 year successful day traders, why is one protective and other Isn't

I agree with Trader Henry. To add on a little, there are a number of super-liquid vehicles that your colleague can apply his teachings to. Even if everyone on this thread did what he said, exactly as he teaches it - it would not affect the price action of: The S&P futures or the...

Any traders who run a hedged long/short portfolio?

Cutten, The long term stock market gain is about 10% over time - so the SPY's or the S&P futures are obviously going to pick that up too, since they are the market. That means, without market timing, your stock picks are going to have to average over 20%/year to net over 10%. You can get...

    Trading on Acid

While NYOBScalper contemplates trading on acid .... Somewhere in Washington D.C., Ben Bernanke is thinking ... "Hey, maybe I should make the next interest rate decision ON ACID !!! ..." as he holds otherwise inconspicous, yet "special" cubes of sugar in his hand .... And Fuck You...

Is trading really this easy ?

Wise, I did a quick scan on news items for RDN. Looks like it has had some really serious trouble recently and then issued some good news re: liquidity. And it looks like you surfed on some very serious short covering. The % of the float short is 21.6% That is huge. At 10...

Is trading really this easy ?

Your stock has an implied and historical volatility of over 140%. You have to research and decide if this is likely to be sustained for a reasonable period of time. If the vol for the stock ever goes back down to 20% or 30% - you are rarely going to see the stock take out resistance and...

ROI - Top ETs vs. SAC traders / Golman Sachs prop vs. Bright prop

With all due respect, this is kind of meaningless. A Bright prop trader - or any other individual prop trader (at Assent, Echo, JC, Avatar, Trillium, etc.) may take his or her 25k account and pump out an average of $800/day. Maybe the trader trades 2000 shares at a time and makes 20 cents...

MIT's Tech Review: "The Blowup" / quants

Seems like this dilemma transcends trading. The Colorado River is central to civic planning/growth management planning for Las Vegas - Since the Colorado provides much if not all of the water for Vegas. There are rumors that when they looked at how much water the Colorado could provide...

    News-feed question

    1. Have you discussed with the E-Signal technical assistance folks? 2. You will probably have to "uncheck" some options. If this is the solution, see if you are still getting the news you want after doing this.
