You don't have to uninstall first. Just install the lastest version directly and it will work.

OK, Just upgraded TWS to 878 and downgraded it to 877 back and forth a few times. 877 was always bad and 878 was good. It is obvious that something is wrong between the old version TWS and IB servers.

I have more than 10 working stop orders in TWS every day and none of them was triggered by false spikes. I guess IB has some anti-spike filter.

It is simple. If you don't like the charges of other markets, then focus on US markets. BTW, there are a few exchanges that don't charge you data fees, like SGX.
