    Cancellation problem with briefing.com

If I just cancel my credit card, Briefing can report to whatever credit agencies to affect my credit history, doesn't it? I don't think it's fair that they change the terms and automatically renewed my terms. I failed to check the email but they should give me a break and just let me cancel.

    Cancellation problem with briefing.com

Hi everyone, I signed up to subscribe platinum services from briefing.com about 2 years ago, and no longer need the service, so I called to cancel. The operator said that the cancellation is completed. Until I asked what the effective date is, she didn't disclose this. It will become...

Taxes for Trading at Traders Accounting

Yup, the guy I initially spoke with was eagerly trying to convince me that setting up entities is the only way to go. Maybe that's how he gets paid his commission or evaluation. As I set up entities for my work, I've asked him a few questions. Not only some of his answers were incorrect...

Taxes for Trading at Traders Accounting

SKY, I would definitely avoid Traders Accounting. They are suggesting all the entities to benefit them, not you. I used them and had one of the most frustrating and ripped-off experiences I ever had in my life. I've already posted my experience with them here and don't want to get in...

    Complaints about CPA

Are there any place you could submit your complains about CPAs? I had horrible experiences with Traders' Accounting re their service and charges. I disputed their charges on my credit card, but they disputed back. I really don't understand why they tries to charge me twice as much...

    Tax Advice

As I live in CA, I trade from 6:30am to 1:00pm PST, and then go to part-time work from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. For the first time in 2007, I am planning to declare my trading as business. It occurred to me that I might be less subject to tax auditing if I treat my part-time work as independent...

    Trader's Accounting?

flyfisher, Thanks for your advice. Can software handle properly for trades (lots of trades) for schedule D according to wash sale rules? I elected mark-to-market accounting for 2007 and intend to treat trading as business. My local CPA said that he does not know anything about tax...

    Trader's Accounting?

Sophie, My pleasure. By the way, can you tell me where you got the info. that TA charges $500 for tax preparation and $900 a year for bookkeeping? TA told me that it would be under $500 for 2006 tax preparation, but charged me $905, instead. My 2006 tax returns are almost identical to...

    Trader's Accounting?

I used Traders Accounting for the first time, and had a horrible experience with them. On the top of unresponsive/irresponsible services, they charged me a double amount of their original estimate for no reasons. If you can, I would stay away from them. The head CPA is really busy making...

    Unbelievable services from Traders Accountanting

Old Trader, Thanks for your prospective. The issues that I had was I could not trust them at all (they lied, completely ignored my inquiries, and it was my first time to deal with TA), so I was not sure until 11:30 pm that they are actually going to finish my returns on time. In the...

    Unbelievable services from Traders Accountanting

Thanks, brown. I have contacted my credit card company today. They told me that it's hard for them to dispute if TA delivered services, which I guess they did, by emailing me a copy of the return 30 min. before the deadline day....Their service is definitely far from my expectations.....I...

    Unbelievable services from Traders Accountanting

Thanks for the info., dandeq ! I was also looking for a new CPA, as I will definitely not go to them again. I will see if I can negotiate. The problem is that they just do not pick up calls, return my calls nor hardly respond to my emails. I have a feeling that they will ignore my...

    Unbelievable services from Traders Accountanting

I used Trader's Accountant for the first time for 2006 returns. As I filed an extension, the tax due was October 15, Monday. I submitted all my paperwork to them over a month ago, and repeatedly followed up with them re the status. They finally contacted me by email on October 13...

Setting up offshore or moving to trade

Yes, it's true that a greencard holder also has to pay taxes even if they don't live in the U.S. However, I think they (both a citizen and a greencard holder) won't have to pay taxes up to something like $80,000 of income and capital gains that they make outside the US (forgot the exact...
