No current signals, but gold is consolidating after a weekly top extension about a year ago.

Chaos Mathematics Calls the top in the DOW

For all of you who have sent me a pm regarding this indicator, I will answer some of you questions here in the open forum. 1. Did I create this indicator? No, I have a partner who is a scientist/mathematician who is behind the hard core science. 2. Can we swap indicators? No can do...

Chaos Mathematics Calls the top in the DOW

Does this always work, no of course not, this is not the holy grail, just better than any other tool in my trader tool box. Without it I am like a carpenter without a hammer. Just figured I would throw that in.

Chaos Mathematics Calls the top in the DOW

Wow, many colorful responses. Hey listen, all I did was to post my opinion about the market based on a highly accurate and unique indicator based chaos mathematics that I use. Just so there is no confusion later, I just bought the S&P 1490 put and shorted a bunch of DIA. As far as the...

Chaos Mathematics Calls the top in the DOW

The magenta line signals the end of a move, which typically leads to a reversal. I posted the recent graph of the Dow with the signal color coded just for you. To be more specific the signals measure the eb and flow of crowd behavior by analysing the Hurst Exponent together with other variables.

Chaos Mathematics Calls the top in the DOW

I agree, I should have pointed out what the blue lines mean. They signal a point where the price data is very 'compressed' and likely to have an increase in volatility, usually in the form of a new trend. So to summarize: Blue - Start of trend (volatility) Red - End of upmove Green - End...

Chaos Mathematics Calls the top in the DOW

I have this indicator I use that relies on chaos mathematics to call the tops and bottoms of stocks. It uses non linear Hurst Exponent and cycle analysis and it is remarkably accurate. The magenta lines show the extreme hurst extensions. Take a look at the bear market.

    Starting a hedge fund

Forget about this strategy as a viable hedge fund!!! You must be non correlated to the market and show consistent monthly returns to have a chance.

    Whats up with RF?

I don't see it on IB either. I use TS to scan for options and they show RF has a June expiry, but not IB, hmmm weird. Then again I only see 3 contracts as OI in TS so I don't know.

    Whats up with RF?

I was looking to short some puts and came across the 7.2 premium for the June 35 put, which comes out to a 20% yield. The stock would have to close below 27.8 by June expiration in order for me to loose, what am I missing here??

    Covered Call Strategy...

No, I am not the creator of this thing. The brains behind this is a rocket scientist that is really not a trader, but a real hard core scientist. I do understand chaos mathematics, but not at the level of this scientist. It's not the 'Holy Grail', just another tool in the tool box, I guess...

    Covered Call Strategy...

The Hurst Exponent is used in a unique and really measures the end or beginning of non linear volatility in a time series. In others words, the magenta bar signals the end of a trend, which doesn't necessarily mean a reversal of the old trend, some times it just results in flat period, which is...

    Covered Call Strategy...

It looks like this on a graph: The magenta bars signal the extreme points of a trend, usually signaling the end of the trend. The blue show extreme non trendiness, often leading to the start of a trend.

    Covered Call Strategy...

No clue!!! Just kidding, you don't need to know anything about options or the stock market for that matter to be an expert in chaos mathematics. I doubt Harold Hurst knew how to put on a Butterfly spread :) Besides it's not that I don't know about options, it just didn't occur to me to use...

    Covered Call Strategy...

I use chaos mathematics to measure when a stock has reached a point of extreme trendiness and it has about a 70% chance of halting the trend and reversing or stabililizing.
