Who regulates the forex market prices?

I guess I shoudnt have rejected the books without reading them, and I guess I will take a look again. Is there any specific book out of the ones you mentioned that I could use to get started? If there were a few that I should read, could you please tell me what those would be?

Who regulates the forex market prices?

I am just curious why so many people focus shape of the candlesticks. If I just plot the candlestick pattern one tick later, the open and closes would change(lets say I use a 1 minute candle, and start from 1s to 60s, and also plot another which starts from 2s). The candle sticks would look...

Who regulates the forex market prices?

Since you seem to be pretty knowledgable I am going to ask you some more questions. Is price the only data which I have access to if I am trading forex? Is this enough to make an educated guess? I read quite a bit on candlestick patterns and how people say buy on this candle and sell on...

Hi, In stocks my understanding is that the exchange order book influences the market price. However in forex who determines price? Is there a central order book exchange? If not is the forex price different at different brokers locations?

What exactly is in a candlestick graph that makes traders use it

Could you explain what you mean by Hi/Lo( over what period? What do you mean by chart extremes?) So would recommend not using OHLC at all for markets that are always open since it doesnt really add any extra information? If so then what indicator do you generally use to trade?

What exactly is in a candlestick graph that makes traders use it

What makes the open and close of each bar any different from the price fluctuation during the bar? That is why talk about open and close on any period whcih doesnt reflect the markets actual opening and closing?

What exactly is in a candlestick graph that makes traders use it

Could you take a look at the question I posted before this? I am confused about the opening and closing prices on a interval lesser than that of the open and close of the market. Ex: Forex operates without closing, so whats the point of the open and close prices?

What exactly is in a candlestick graph that makes traders use it

What about a market that operates 24x7. How would the open and close prices be decided? I understand candlesticks make sense if the open refers to the open price and close the close price. So a period of 12hours makes sense. However what about shorter periods? How does it reflect the sentiments?

What exactly is in a candlestick graph that makes traders use it

Hi, I just got started with trading and am confused about why the open and close are so different from the variation in price over a given range. The open and close give the candle stick its body size based on which a lot of people call it different names. But what makes those two instants so...
