Any elite traders ever been banned by CFD brokers for being consistently profitable?

Many CFD brokers trade against their clients. Consistently profitable traders will cause the CFD brokers to lose money. Casinos ban consistently profitable customers. Why not CFD brokers? So far, I have not heard of such cases with people around me. Maybe they are not profitable enough. Since...

What to tell people I do instead of saying Day trading?

Interesting question. Maybe you can tell them you're a self-employed programmer who writes software for a living. If people ask what kind of software, you can reply your clients are secretive and require strict confidentiality to be preserved. End of busy-body questions.

Do CFD providers lose money when customers make money? Any problem if you're profitable?

Maybe the reason is you have a good CFD broker, a better CFD broker than Businessman. I assume that both of you are highly profitable. Can you share which CFD broker you're using?

Do CFD providers lose money when customers make money? Any problem if you're profitable?

Is it true that CFD providers make money when their customers lose money? If this is indeed true, do you encounter problems when you are a highly profitable customer? In Reminiscences of the Stock Operator, the bucket shops hated Jesse Livermore and resorted to all sorts of tricks to kick his...

Question to day traders: Which order types do you use on IBKR platform?

One question to the elitetraders who use market orders. When making a market order, is IBKR's adaptive algo order better than a simple, basic market order? When you choose IBalgo adaptive algo, do you choose urgent, normal or patient setting? IBKR's documentation on their adaptive algo orders...

How to make multiple bracket orders on the same futures contract on TWS?

Bracket orders are great for day traders. Unfortunately, I am having some problems with it at the moment. I would like to make multiple bracket orders for the same futures contract on IBKR. Suppose I have 4 ES contracts. I would like to have a bracket order for 2 ES contracts and another...

Which are the news release events that day traders should be aware and stay out?

I don't know how to trade them before the news release. Therefore, it's better to avoid them until news has been released. I do not have the ability to trade them before news release but probably some elite traders here can.

Which are the news release events that day traders should be aware and stay out?

Thanks for listing the more important news release. There are some news calendars which are so comprehensive that the conservative trader can't trade on most days. I think knowing the important ones to avoid should be good enough.

What are some tips to reduce execution mistakes for day traders?

Thanks for your advice. I am using TradingView and IBKR. TradingView has a replay function but it does not allow the user to place paper trades during replay. I heard IBKR is a good platform for day traders, yet I make so many mistakes on this platform. Hopefully, it is me who does not know...

What are some tips to reduce execution mistakes for day traders?

I'm so sorry I did not mention those mistakes were made when I was demo trading. I've edited my original post to include that. Even for demo trading, I feel a little anxiety because I take them seriously.

Which are the news release events that day traders should be aware and stay out?

Thanks. I will take a look. There are many news release events out there. I'm mainly interested in the ones which can cause stock indices to gap up/down huge and cause financial devastation to day traders.

Which are the news release events that day traders should be aware and stay out?

Today's non-farm payrolls news release caused stock indices to crash within seconds. There is no time for day traders to react. Stops are useless. I myself could have been killed if I happen to hold a huge day-trading position during the news release. I'm new to day trading. This is scary. How...

Question to day traders: Which order types do you use on IBKR platform?

I use limit orders for longer-term trades. However, for day trades, I think market orders are better because day trading decisions need to be quickly executed.

Question to day traders: Which order types do you use on IBKR platform?

Thanks for all the replies from the elite traders here. I'm totally new to day trading, so I regard everyone who replied here as an elite trader because you are better than me. It seems that market order is the right order for a day trader, provided the thing being traded is liquid enough to...

Question to day traders: Which order types do you use on IBKR platform?

I have a question for the elite day traders here. If you are using IBKR as a day trader, what is your preferred order type on IBKR for day trading futures? I did some testing on IBKR Paper Trading. When I submit a limit order using a lousy price to ensure I get a fill, the price filled was...

Is cash in IBKR Singapore account subjected to U.S estate tax?

Estate tax on U.S equities in any brokerage is not disputed. This part I am sure. What I am not sure is whether CASH in a Singapore-registered brokerage account but is a subsidiary of IBKR (U.S broker) is subjected to estate tax. To me, it sounds rather unreasonable that cash in a subsidiary...

Is cash in IBKR Singapore account subjected to U.S estate tax?

Thanks but it's still not as efficient as cash. One will incur commission to buy and sell securities that generate portfolio interest that are exempt from estate tax. Avoiding death is not a solution. Haha. No one is God.
