I understrand SIPC protects cash and securities upto 500K USD and (uplimit 100K USD in cash). Does that mean if have 200K of unused fund and 100K in future or spot fx contract, in case of bankruptcy, only half (100K) of my unused fund is protected by SIPC?

If I am right, you have to be NOT profitable at least first couple minutes after the postion is opened so that FXCM can have some time to offset with their banks without loss... Therefore, the scalping which is not welcomed by FXCM or any other market maker is the trade which doesn't gve them...

I can see they are getting multiple qoutes from several market makers but can't find the term "ECN" from their website. If not, what is the difference btw ECN like currenex or hotspot and IB dealpro?

But isn't it hard to trade big size with future due to the lack of liquidity? Is trading 50 lots in future possuble without partial fill?
