I am looking to trade US stocks on margin with $5k, what are some good brokers (non CFD)? I am looking for lots of of margin and I think IB gives 2:1 max for my account size.

If I have 5k to trade with and want the most leverage possible without using cfds what are some good options? For IB I need 25k for a day trading account otherwise I think I get 2:1?

what causes gaps in a stock? can any of them be predicted ahead of time? I am swing trading some and having a market gap against a position looks like it can screw me up real bad.

I use DMA to distinguish between CFD stocks and DMA stocks where you own the actual stock when you purchase it and I wanted to know if there was a difference in the two between margin offered. Im looking to trade ASX/Asian/European/US shares so everything.

Ok I've been looking around and for stock CFDs it seems that leverage is typically 10:1 or 5:1. With DMA, is margin the same? I was hoping to get at least 50:1 or 100:1 is that possible? Also, with DMA what is the minimum account size I need to trade shares?

Hi, are there any tools/sites I can use to scan through a whole bunch of charts real fast? Like display or whiz through lots of charts, I want to manually scan them for patterns.

I have narrowed down brokers to 3 - cmc markets, plus 500 and markets.com. Plus 500 gives 20:1 leverage on stock CFDs, markets.com gives 10:1, not sure with CMC and it seems they charge $7 per trade I am double checking. I like the markets.com trader more but stock leverage is more important for...
