    Globex and IB Stops

Does anyone know off-hand if stops placed on the Globex, ECBOT, NYMEX systems are visible to anybody else (Concerned about running stops). Also, are stops in the IB system available for anyone to run? As I understand it, IB does not trade and therefore, stops with IB should not be visible to...

    Best Canadian remote deal

I've been reading through this section but haven't found the information that I have been looking for and wondered if someone could help me. I was hoping to go remote from home rather than going in to the office every morning. Does anyone have suggestions for a good remote trading...

    shortable on downtick?

Can anyone tell me some good stocks to trade that you can short on a downtick? I trade NYSE and look for a stock with decent volume and some good intraday swings - $20-40 stock usually. Thanks in advance.

    Cheap Real Time Charts

http://quotetracker.com/ These are free or 7$ a month with no ads present. You need a data provider, however. I use IB and it is free for most data that I need (including eminis) but you need an IB account. There is a list of data providers on the site...

    why prop and not futures?

can't you be successful just by using stops and discipline?

    INET Rash

During high volume period and since hybridization, NYSE has had delays with execution and cancellation of orders including orders routed to the floor like Inet Rash - not sure when this will be fixed.

    why prop and not futures?

Thought about that but would still be giving a fairly high percentage to the prop firms that I have checked out. The bonus would be increases in capital, while still taking home a paycheck - at home I would have to reinvest most/all of my profits. Why don't more people at prop firms trade...

    why prop and not futures?

One more thing; in an arrangement where the trader keeps 100%, would execution fees at the prop firm not be higher than fees to trade futures contracts (IB, for example)?

    why prop and not futures?

I am aware of that; I'm generalizing a little bit in order to determine if a successful prop trader could leave, trade futures from home, and have the same success or better. Are there disadvantages to futures vs stocks? I understand the diffuculties associated with daytrading stocks from...

    why prop and not futures?

Any other reason? Are stocks easier to trade/profit from that futures?

    why prop and not futures?

Wondering why one would trade prop, give away some of their profits (up to 65%+ in some cases), rather than trading futures at home which give you great leverage with low costs. It seems that energy futures, gold futures, nq, etc have great intraday moves, there is no uptick rule, get out of...

    Good Stocks to Daytrade?

not trading NASD right now - have traded GG for profit but get very frustrated trying to go short and I find it a little choppy - amd chart looks great, thanks! XOM looks pretty good aswell but same problem going short - I seem to read the short plays better and miss out on a lot of downside.

    Good Stocks to Daytrade?

I have traded gg - very liquid but hard to get filled when the stock starts moving against you - price levels evaporate too quickly - has this changed since hybridization?

    Good Stocks to Daytrade?

I am pretty new to trading NYSE stocks - have been trading AT&T the last couple of days - does anyone have any suggestions for good Intraday range, volume, nice smooth swings, etc. Also, stocks with lots of thickness on the bid/offer, etc. Too good to be true? Thanks in advance.

    a question about Swifttrade

1000 - 5000 shares per trade (depends which stock) - about 100 trades per day. Net loss is about 350, lft is about 450

    a question about Swifttrade

100 trades, not 100 shares - not planning on leaving anytime soon but 35% is hard to swallow - trying to make rent, etc. Any suggestions on other prop firms I could investigate? Which ones are the best? Would the trading environment be similar, ie ecn's, execution speed, etc?
