Went short VIX prior to FOMC and.... Drumroll.... WHAT A MOVE!! out for the day. Too nervous to re-enter, too nervous to short. Already made my profits for the day. Happy trading everybody (except bears).

Bullish sentiment hit a ytd low yesterday.

Doubled down in the morning at open for shorting VIX futures. Had a good run in the first 15 minutes, reversed all losses from premarket. Closed my VIX short, SPX long closed. Going to wait for a pull back to re-enter, plan on holding overnight into jobs data tmr since I think the numbers...

Hrm. No reaction to Syria on $VIX. My thoughts are Syria is a non-issue now. ES goes higher, IMO. (Still long from Aug 27th, from 1638)

To add to the conversation here, NQ is generally where risk money goes in bull markets, since many tech company startups are the heart of small business, and their earnings swing the greatest. SPX is full of bell weathers, and don't move as much. All large caps.

Think we stop at 1656 gap or go for the full nine yards and close 1680 gap sometime this week or next?

I go short VIX via XIV etf. If I did want to short the etf's like VXX, I'd do it with UVXY but shares of them are so hard to find most of the time.
