Defer: as a single indicator in Ensign, the parabolic SAR is much better than the VS. Almost any parameter setting is profitable. This is not so with the VS.

Here is 20 range chart for today. Nice intraday swings today. A 1 pt move is equal to 500,000 KRW or about U$450.

The volume on this contract is great (K200 in IB). For example, 470,000 contracts today. Want to get some pros and cons from some people currently trading this contract. KiwiTrader, et al.. What do you think? TIA

Here is a 5 minute ER2 with 20/40 parameters. Tokyo timezone for chart.

Jasper I am not sure what your settings are because when I use 20/20 for maximum and acceleration in Ensign my R60 chart on ER2 shows W32, L18, P35.80 for yesterdays trading up to the current time. ps. In reality, I trade the 100 Range for er2, not 60.

Hey Jasper regarding Ensign's Parabolic SAR, try speeding it up for example using 20 Maximum and 20 acceleration as the parameters. I was playing around with the acceleration parameter in Ensign and the result was quite interesting. :)

Jasper, I am an Ensign user too and have found using Howard's built-in Parabolic SAR too be far superior to the volatility stop. Speeding up the default Par-SAR seems appropriate for the ER also. Still single-indicator simple :) FWIW
