I have a similar issue. I constantly find myself giving up mental stops and withdrawing stop loss orders when stocks goes near my stop price. And in most cases I end up paying for the mistake. Now I have a rule that I take 3 breathes and determine where I would like to be stopped out before...

Yes I sure have, though I entered later in the day since wasn't able to monitor market before 2pm that day - still looking at a nice 12%. This is a killer method.

For VDSI, one who follows the Hershey method should exit because the volume is far from hitting FRV towards the end of the day. You need to do that whether or not it is showing a loss, unless, of course, you have other reasons to hold VDSI through... -kming-

Got in at the same price, but at 2:45 VDSI's volume is so small that very likely wouldn't reach FRV. So exited. These days we had too many false entries... -kming-

ATR(100)/Close. I got 1.37 for 11/1/05. Now it is at 1.5+. This is similar to the original turtle trading system where you sort of risk the same amount of money in each bet. -kming-

Do you have a 2% trailing stop even after the entry signal is confirmed? Isn't that a little too tight? We are looking for 10%'s constantly and 2% drawdown is bound to happen very frequently... We already have 2% stop, a 10% profit target, and a 4-day maximum exit. I think a 2% trailing...

I am using medved quotetracker's built-in charts but it only goes back 2 days, and at open it only has 13 bars of historical data. Isn't this gonna cause wrong calculations of MACD and Stochastic indicators? Thx, -kming-

I was also looking to enter NGPS but failed to confirm that Slow Stochastic is above 80... Did you check that before pulling the trigger?
