Anyone shorting VLO at these levels?

Using put spreads limits the "@ risk capital" and if it keeps riding up. cover your short. Just buy enough time.

Is Cramer Just a Moron, his calls on INTC

I respect them airing the interviews because they were not in line with Jim's previous calls. For disclosure purposes, he has helped make me big $$$ on UNH and GOOG. :D

    Rimm

I believe I just herd the CEO of MOT tell Crammer on Mad Money, when bated with the question: "Is it true you have a competitive product to the blackberry?" the CEO laughed and answered "It doesn't work yet." Was I mistaken? I'll watch again at 9:00 p.m. but I wanted to post market...

    CNBC - Cramer's Mad Money

Thank you. That makes sense to me. On the gap down on the day after RIMM's earnings i increased my long contracts, while keeping my short in place. There probably isn't a name for this but when I charted out the pay-off diagram, I really liked the risk /reward trade off. My risk, although...

    CFA vs MBA??

Thanks for the reply. Regarding year to year comparisons, what happens, I've been told, is that there is a targeted pass rate of X%. Some years, when the pass rate is very low, the curve is is lowered the following year (so as not to discourage us tuition paying candidates). At that...

    CFA vs MBA??

Just curious - where did you get stat of 4.5 times? Also, as a CFA charterholder, the sixth hour of level 2 or 3 was far more challenging than any test during my MBA. Also, I am not aware of an MBA program that tests on an annual cumulative level.

Trading platform from behind a firewall?

The company I work for upgraded the firewall which eliminated all real time data from all sources (including cybertrader referenced above). I tried multiple avenues (http tunnel was the closest potential solution) but my IT department detected my attempts to bypass firewall via a "user attempt...

    Is briefing.com PLATINUM good ?

I use it and it works for general news (up/down pre/post market, economic releases, upgrades/downgrades, etc.) however the volume/break out alerts are interesting, but too late to to act upon imho.

Which is More Profitable - Swing Trading or Day Trading?

I agree, however maybe the swing time frame is 2 days versus the 3 to 5? Today, over 3/4 of my watch list gaped up at open. Very few faded or filled the gap in early trading (10:00, 10:30 and 11:00) (that cliche is becoming worthless IMHO). With that being said, 2:00 p.m. on was a different...
