Let's learn/discuss how to read the DOM and Time and Sales

Nothing is random in the futures market. Get that out of your head. There is either spoofing (pulling bids/offers right before they get there) or it is true liquidity. Remember that liquidity is ONLY defined by offers that sits above the ask and below the bid., i.e. limit orders. Personally, I...

Now that NQ is back at 2001 levels, they should also return the contract to 1/2 point increments ($10) and get rid of the HFT scalping noise.

for Ninja 7.0 - Zenfire or CQG?

GOM CD and ladder is awesome, I agree. And you can record the data and store on your PC, since NT unfortunately does not do it for you. Nothing beats the amount of free 3rd party indicators available for Ninja trader. Nothing. As for AMP, that bucket shop will never get my business from the...

Is germany throwing the world into disaster yet again??

Actually, Germany got huge benefits from the weaker countries in this euro. This article explains it: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/23/business/global/23charts.html?_r=1&smid=tw-nytimesbusiness&seid=auto Since the introduction of the euro at the beginning of 1999, the European Central...

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

tip: once the deal closes, European banks have to sell all those euros they bought for the stress test (the herd does not get this, they wonder why the euro rallied the past few weeks: banks sold off assets and shored up their capital in order to pass the test, driving the euro up). Note also...

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

68.25 holding, we did not quite get down to that 57 level. Bullish, but somehow feels like unfinished business to the downside today, ES not even getting down to R2. But heck, they sold ZN at 2.27%, so that is risk on.

    Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

2357, 50% of gap, could be targeted. Keep an eye on 2.27% on the ten. 2368.25 is the current fulcrum.

    ES Journal Archive (2011)

Just check the message boards and you will see what retail traders did, most of them dumb money. Whenever CNBC parades a bearish trade, you can bet smart money works a squeeze. It is in no way a foolish comment, but years of fading the CNBC morons. This is definitely the last time I ever...

Maybe, maybe not. This move is in sync with copper (up 1.2%), oil, euro and bonds. I am waiting to see how we handle that NQ 50 dma (2225) and refrain from a bias. A 2 day post FOMC drop often reverses the week after. so I am not shorting this unless we break the lows of this open.

And just like that, we have erased most of the losses from Thursday in 35 mns. Support will be 50% of the gap, ES 1141, below that 1134.25/1136. They want to crucify all the retail traders that followed Art Cashin and CNBC and went short Friday.

    ES and CL Intraday strategies

Over trading is often a result of bad entry points on original trades. Focus on your entries, be patient, wait for your set ups. If they don't come, don't trade. I have no idea what set ups you have so I can't help you there. But my advice is run trades through the Ninja sim first (it's free)...
