With such a far in the future fly are you just chasing a slight amount of theta with the middle so close to the current price and/or is the idea to hold this fly for several months with the wide wings hoping with the thought that it is anywhere around the middle you will just hold into expiration?

Are you assuming that we will get a smile effect with an increase volatility or that just one wing of the the fly's volatility will substantially increase depending on the earning's announcement direction?

What software can people suggest for backtesting equities and if possible options. I have heard good things about Wealth-Lab except that it is no longer sold in Canada or the USA unless you are a Fidelity customer. I have also heard MetaStock has backtesting problems. What are you using...

You are doing it purely because of trading a higher volume and having to unwind your position without affect the market?

RM, I am guessing you are trading a decent amount of volume from your strategy of setting up limits to slowly unwind your position. Are you just trying to unwind the position or is there another strategy involved? How are you choosing the limits, and the volume at those limits?
