    Chinook's EUR/USD (E/$)Mumblings

I think everyone would agree except if trading intraday - hopefully the nonfarm payrolls will help FX 'bust a move.' ae_trading

    Fx futures Journal

B1S2, I swear I'm not following you, haha, you just keep having these journals that catch my eye. EUR short certainly looks enticing right now. Especially considering the most recent candle and how EUR has handled it in the past. I'd have a short stop right under that candle, except I'm...

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

This inside bar(green circle) has me watching for an upside break. I'm still short, thinking that the market is bearish and the resistance will hold(blue circle) but almost considering putting in a buy stop above today's high.

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

I would agree. I look for reverse divergence as an indication that the trend will continue. Since I mostly look to trade with the trend(if you believe in them) that is why I sometimes will use a reverse divergence as the beginning of a signal. Another indication of the trend I like is the...

Still riding this reverse divergence. Short term target of 1250, if it gets there see how things look and possibly postiion for next target at the low of 1230ish.

Prop Traders at firms like Bright vs. MBF

Nasdaq, The profit percentage you keep is closer to 80-100% depending on the firm. And the buying power is higher than 10 depending on the firm and your skill level. -ae

B1S2, I am thinking the same thing. You guys talk about divergences a lot, so I thought I'd throw in this "reverse divergence" which bearishly can indicate that the current daily downtrend(weekly is up) may continue. How I will play it is that if there is another up day (like the one I put...

Le Triangle continues. -ae Had to add: the chart is from 6/21 to now, including after hours, 30 min. bars.

Here's the "dirty" version of the triangle - the lines are, ahem, inexact haha. The pic is about 1 week of 30 min. bars including after hours. -ae

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

In the first chart I am refering to the last 6-7 bars (depending on whether you include the large green bar as well.) In addition, there is a hammer on the weekly from last week - but the last two on the daily failed so I'm not giving much weight to this one on the weekly yet. Of course...

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

Seems to me to be more of general market indecisiveness leading up to the next FED meeting. S&P has been sorta forming a triangle as it keeps trading in a tighter range all last week. When I see rangebound action like that it tells me to be ready for a nice move. Once the market shifts...

    GoodPunk6's Trading Journal

GoodPunk, I use MACD. I would recommend you not take any trade signals using it until you are comfortable. Also, check out MACD divergences. Many people find them to be the only usefull part of MACD.
