    The End?

5-30 years. Depends on what I do with my life in the next little while like settling down, how my business goes if anywhere, and how the market does.

    The End?

Here's an update. After a couple of years, the relationship didn't quite work out but I learned some things about myself, including some issues I had when it came to relationships. I started a small business, my first, which struggled mightily the first bit and I almost didn't survive. After 3...

    The End?

I started this journey back in 2009. I've experienced many ups and down. I've learned a great deal about myself, about the nature of uncertainty and how that applies to everyday life, and by some miraculous twist of fate, it has also led me to the love of my life. It is time for me to move...

    How Smart R U?

The real test was seeing how many idiots think an online "IQ TEST" actually has any validity.

    Stages of a Trader

Well when I developed the system I looked at what preexisting conditions were most favourable for system execution. These are my filters. This is why I don't trade/execute everyday. What i mean is there have been times where I saw/predicted certain moves that would've saved me money. However...

    Stages of a Trader

Thanks. I've tried looking at ways to predict whether or not it's going to be a big trending day ahead of time with no success. I've tried changing parameters to make it more profitable and the drawdowns smaller, again no success. While I believe I have been in this field long enough to start...

    Stages of a Trader

I can only speak for myself but what I was saying is it's very easy knowing the outcome to go back and look for confirmations of that outcome than to be given a bunch of information and find out what the outcome is going to be. Or you know you can keep the circlejerk and generalize about...

    Stages of a Trader

Jan was about 4 point loss. 2013 was a bad year. 2012 was a great year. It's not anti trend. It just doesn't work well in big trending days. I get steam rolled.

I think I understand what you are saying. Unfortunately that may not be able to help my setup. RE: pre-open conditions, it's different knowing the outcome and looking for an explanation before hand, than having the various explanations and looking for an outcome.

Well of course I want to move ahead. I'm just tired of the bullshit that I've always got from all the liars and pretenders. So tell me, how would I go about finding out what the conditions of the market will be like before the open (since I trade right at the open)?

    Stages of a Trader

What I've seen so far is two people pointing out after the fact. I can do that as well. I see absolutely zero evidence of either of what you said before the market opened. Am I wrong here? There is no ego at play. I have heard the same shit from start to finish many many times over the years...

You are going to have to provide a link to that because I don't see it in your post history from this morning.

Really. You knew before market open today that it was going to be a big move up trending day?

    Stages of a Trader

If I could predict the condition of the market before hand based on the info above I wouldn't even need to trade my system now would I? What you are suggesting sounds like discretionary on the fly thinking rather than going in with a plan in mind and executing it.
