Perfection! Making You Think and Go . . . Huh!

ProfLogic: You said before that you are right. Now you are saying that you are not right. What is going on here? Could you also rephrase your hypothesis more clearly? I think I know what you are saying but I am not exactly sure. Thank you.

    Assent

The bottom line is that Assent doesn't care about anything other than commissions. That was my impression. Nuttin' but commissions. They smile at you if you generate a lot of commissions. They frown at you if you don't. B/c they only care care only about commissions, they will give...

    Assent

Aight, Automated had MOC problems. Some other traders had buying power problems. Incorrect buying power would show and prevent the traders from closing positions. Also, Assent holds your money for 12 months. That is a long time IMO.

    Assent

Hammer trading platform is lean and fast. The only drawback is that it goes down too much IMO and for hours. On average it goes down once a week. Their charting package now is eSignal I believe. eSignal is not like the Hammer. It is too clunky and bloated. It is like MetaStock. AT...

    College Student Question

I can understand your concern. It is a legitimate one. It is not easy to answer your questions b/c there are many prop firms and each one has different requirments, people, style, and training. I would interview with as many prop firms as I can and ask many questions and take a look at...

    prop firm dilemma

After reading the responses and some thought, I see that the trader should focus on making money b/c ONLY a trader that is making money can continue to generate commissions and share the profits.

    Prop Firm 101

I've seen many, many things about prop firms, good and bad. Now, I'm curious about them, and hopefully someone can answer a couple of questions for a "newbie" to the prop world. 1) IF you are successful, at what point does working at a prop firm begin to enable to you to stop eating into...

    prop firm dilemma

I can make money trading at a prop firm but I have this nagging guilt like I will get fired if I don't generate enough commissions even though I make money. Here is my question. It sounds stupid but here it is: Am I supposed to make money or generate A LOT commissions? Note the keywords...

    Traders of today...

The ungrateful traders are the firm. Without these ungrateful traders, there won't be a prop firm. If you want to build a successful firm, you should invest in them so that they succeed. When your traders succeed, you, the firm will succeed, and vice versa. A statement like this...

NYSE Specialist System is probably going to be gone

Interesting article on the shadyness of the Specialists. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/business/s_159209.html Tidbits from article: "My main concern is that specialists are a for-profit proprietary trading arm of the NYSE that investors large and small trust with their...

    Worldco Going Out of Business

Yes, that's right. You got to make more than $1k to $1.5k to be on the top 30 list. So, if you make $500, you won't make the top 30 list. There is also a percentage number that is posted daily. This number shows how many traders at Worldco are profitable for the day. Almost every day, it...
