Very successful gray box trading firm in Chicago, with an outstanding track record, would be interested in hearing from established traders with a profitable solid track record, who would be willing to trade the night session. Integrity is number one priority. We would also be interested in...
Does anyone know of any firms in the US, that trade the Kospi? Does IB allow kospi trading? If not why? Someone told me that you cannot trade the Kospi thru a US based firm, this doesn't sound like a valid reason.
Vega..thanks for the headhunter site, I currently trade in Colgate, which used to be 4-6. Includes Mer, Axp, Dna, Usg, Bk, DD etc. When you left the floor, where did you go? Are you still trading?
Does anyone know of any firms in the chicago area or one that offers remote trading, which does not require you to put up your own capital? I am currently a market maker on the cboe with 5+ years of profitable trading history both on and off floor..before anyone flames me...I already have...
I use a firm in chicago that handles many floor traders. I feel they are reasonably priced and very responsive and easy to deal with. pm me if you want there name and # .
I trade as an option market maker on the floor of the cboe..and have made about every mistake in the book..some memorable ones..placed a limit order to sell 10,000 shares ..instead of 1000. Got hit on that one and stock ran about a dollar in my face. Another one which was funny and not nearly...
I have heard of Spike in Chicago..but can't find any information about Falcon or Gator...does anyone have phone numbers or websites for these 2..Thanks
I hear the oex is still decent, but the equities where I trade are terrible. Liquidity has dried up to nothing but professional paper and that usually trades very close to fair value or is crossed. message me if you want to hear any specifics
Does anyone have any information they could share about the Chicago offices of either Schonfeld or Spike? I am currently a CBOE market maker looking to go off floor in the near future and have heard good things about these two firms. However outside of there websites I have been unable to...
BD's are already allowed to do this, not electronically. They must send a broker into the crowd. However some dpm's are already allowing electronic raes access to bd's, one example is Timber Hill's dpm, allows bd's access in Merrill lynch 250 up.
Just a quick comment on the width of options spreads. I'm a market maker on the cboe, and spreads have become ridiculously narrow. With the emergence of the ise, and competition between the existing exchanges, you will often see markets a nickle wide...if not pickem. On the cboe, we honor the...
The reasons I am considering leaving the floor are many:
1) The bid ask spread has narrowed with each exchange competing for order flow..most of the time markets are a dime wide at best.
2) Order flow is going electronic, with the ise taking a larger proportion of volume. In addition, Timber...
I am currently an option market maker, planning on trading equities off floor through a proprietary firm sometime after the first of the year. I would appreciate any advice members could give me as to the types of trading style/s that they are utilizing. Also I live in Chicago and have...
