http://www.speedtest.net is also good. Try this from a "hardwired" computer. Click on the gold star for the closest "hub", then try you aircard. 5M down and 3M up should be a minimum for trading. I have 20M down - 8 up with comcast- I hear Concast CA now is offering 50M down.

Make sure you are running XP SP3. Microsoft will not be updating SP2 and back. Actually, I dont think they are going to do any more for SP3 either - but not sure.

I went through 2 of them, the Gen2's. When they fail - they are dead. NO way to recover. At least when I lost my boot sector on my old drive, I was able to plug it into a secondary port and get my data back. I had TC replace my drive with a new SSD - 2 months later - same problem. dropped...

Xeons are for number crunching - servers etc. i7 is really the same processor, speed wize, for the desktop version. Trading you really do not need the number crunching as your data is mostly streaming from your platform providers.

That is the 6 port (DisplayPort) version. So, 4 of those will get you 24, DP monitors, yes. Good luck for 4 of those :D

My buddy has the 1 over 3 - really likes the way it is balanced, keeping his main screen bottom center.

the x16 will work as long as the 2 cards are compatible - best to use the same card as you have.

if your eyes are good, higher resolution will give you more on the screen. emcworkstations has 4 24" samsung monitors and a stand on a tax time sale - not sure if you need a stand or not. the 24" samsungs are $299. just a fyi

just got a message from EMC, emcworkstations.com, running a 6 monitor system special, delivered for just over 4K - monitors, mount and computer to drive it all. i7960, 22" montiors and stand. much better than my system from NTI

4 output with 4 display ports. Not a lot of monitions on the market with display ports, but they do give you two DP to DVI (single-link) adapters. Guess you can get two more if you want - about $100 per at Amazon. Or, you can get 4 new monitors also :D

Did you notice the connections on this card - 2 DVI adapters, 2 DisplayPort Adapters and 1 HDMI - that is a lot of different types of monitors. why would they not give you 6 DVI adapters, or options of which ones you need
