Please see Scott's latest blog on this topic. He will be on CNBC at 11:20 debating the topic essentially defending our livelihood. There is a link in the T3 blog to send Scott an email before he goes on and debates. Let him know if there are any points you think would help our case...

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

I'm going to inform the T3trading community to do the same as far as emailing Fidelity and Schwab. It's a shame if they pass such a tax, as it hurts the honest independent trader the most.

Well lets see how she presents the topics. I'm sure she has a chorus of opposition in her ear which hopefully she will represent in the segment.

    Day Trading Classes

T3Live.com just started offering an In-House Coaching Program. It's a month long course that allows you to train and trade from their Manhattan headquarters. The cost is $10k and is taught by actual traders, not teachers who used to trade like at other companies. The lectures occur during the...

    The 15 minute chart

Using multiple timeframes is the only way to consistent profits. In some markets the 15 will be suitable, in others you may need to use a 5min chart. I agree that a 15 is great for filtering out the noise but I have the most success when I am able to identify trades on the daily or 60min and...

    Reliable Prop Firms ?

I trade at T3 and they have had a new class here for the last month. I know the training is good because I went through it but this program is different than the one I went through. In addition to the lectures, they trade on a simulator and their coaches monitor and review their trades. The...

    Next Level Trading

T3 is a great place to trade. Everyone is very helpful. I went through the In-House Coaching program and it was very thorough and lessons were taught by some of the higher level traders. I was surprised with the attention received from some of the better traders

    Trillium Trading and career progression.

T3 is very good. I work there and can tell you that the training is unlike any other firm. This is what I've heard from people who have worked at other places, as I started w/ T3 so it's all I know. There are weekly training meetings and all of the top partners are very approachable and...

Why do "profitable" traders take the time to train people remotely and for a fee?

It's easy for some people to want to teach others if their interests are aligned. For example, prop firms that share in a trader's profits. In this case there is incentive to teach $$$. Also, for some, there is no extra effort needed to teach others. For instance, if a trader is mic'd up...

    long CME---profit potential 50%

CME provided for a great long today. It showed relative strength early and bull flagged perfectly above yesterday's high near $232. Sold most into $240's for a day trade and holding some for longer term. Our chat room was all over this one!!

5 Must Read Tips For New Traders to Succeed

I totally agree with the "stay away from sites that promise consistent results." You could have 10 traders same the chart of a stock going higher and some will make money and some won't. The difference is in education. Join sites that promote education and sites where there is...

    Ascending Wedge Break in SPY

The S&P 500 has formed a bearish ascending wedge. I initiated shorts today as the markets turned down near resistance at the 877 level. This pattern should play itself out over the next two weeks with a return back to the beginning of the formation near 780, also the 50% retracement level...

    Ascending Wedge Break in SPY

The S&P has formed a bearish rising wedge pattern(some are saying ascending channel) which you can see in the chart. The target for this pattern is the area in which it began to form, near 783. This level also stands very close to the 50% retracement from the high to the low. The first area...

5 Must Read Tips For New Traders to Succeed

As the stock market has continued to plummet, many hard working taxpayers have seen their 401Ks evaporate, had their homes foreclosed, and their life savings disappear. Stock brokers have always encouraged a buy and hold strategy to make money in the markets, but passive investment in the...

"I heard that only a few guys know how to trade at T3 and the rest of the big money traders are actually trading demo accounts and telling everyone that it's real money...." I trade at T3 and can tell you that there are plenty of great traders at T3 many with different styles. There is...

Any good free or low cost stock news letters, websites, email, etc?

One good site I've come across is T3Live.com. Everything is video based and the trade ideas are explained well. I subscribe to the virtual trade floor and T3TV. T3TV is best for swing traders and costs about $40/month. They offer a 2week free trial also.
