    Thoughts on WealthSignals

Good Day. A lot happened in the past few weeks, and most of us spend more time staring at the screen to see how far further down it goes or (sometimes) up. It is time to look at some strategies on the WS site. Remember most systems show their historical research results on WS, and I wouldn’t...

China expelled WSJ journalists because it cannot bear criticism

See, then why complain about the Chinese? Look at Julian Assange, he was not lying. That is the kind of journalist that YOU are asking for. But then, given your history of posts, I am sure you don’t like that either. I feel it is not worth to think or talk about it. Just like talking about...

China expelled WSJ journalists because it cannot bear criticism

I am not sure what you are trying to say, wasn't there a president who expelled or ignored journalists who do not write or report to his liking? Who in the western world cared about that? There was another president (or prince) who seemed to be involved in the killing of a journalist. Yet the...

    A simple price action approach

People use various methods: 200 Bar SMA 50 Bar high or low The things with trends and defining when they happen that it most of the times fails. Once you catch a trend it should pay off for the many losses you have encountered before. It might as well be that the Indizes I mentioned before go...

    A simple price action approach

I guess you mean me Volker? And yes there are trends - big ones. Bigger and longer than anyone would expect. Just take a look at the US stocks SPY, DIA QQQ... what a run for close to 12 years...

IMO Trendlines work in hindsight just like Fibonacci or Elliott wave. Only computers will be able to research it without emotions. I am sure there is software out there. You just have to define the rules and let it run through the history. Thinking about it, what about the ZigZag indicator?

    Looking for a stock scanner

Besides the fact that Wealth-Lab can do it. Provided you have the data, it can go back as long as you wish, and I recommend to go back a very long time. But then you should think of the real price of the stocks at that time... splits... the stock might have not been between 1-20 dollars...

Has the strategy stopped working or is it to reaching a new max drawdown

Which comes back to bad testing. If your software does not have any option to consider it, you should consider moving on to a software that does. But who really things thepast 5 years are representative for the fear/greed ratio in the market?

You are not giving enough information to really tell. But the few comments already mention the very obvious mistkes.

    WealthSignals Strategy Round-up November 2019

In regards to ETF Risk Trader, I really would like to see some historical results. The first months is already so volatile.

looking 4 High/ Low +52w module on trading platform like this

We have just now implemented a trivial thing like this into the DataTool of Wealth-Lab. This tool can be adjusted to the needs of the community. https://www.wealth-lab.com/Extensions/Details/27 Would be interesting to see if we can create a strategy with it?

Buying stocks before they are added to indexes

I love testing those ideas... that we all had before or heard about. So this test is not scientific, but it could be an indication. Anyway we tested on the SP100, from 2000 until today we counted 90+ companies coming in and others leaving the SP100. We tested several setups. 1. Buy four days...

Buying stocks before they are added to indexes

Actually I just saw some results on the idea. Tested with Wealth-Lab and Norgate data on SP100 in a quick and dirty way. Before publishing it here, I would like to verify a few things first. So far it looks good.

I have traded some systems over there. I had many that I did put on my "WatchList". Great results in OOS trading. None of them is still around after 2-3 years of not looking at them. Historical Researchers make too many mistakes. I made them too and likely still make them. Right now I do not...

WS is interested in getting new signal publishers and subsequently subscribers. You asked for : Futures? Intraday? That was leading me to the assumption that this is what you do already at other sides. Which made me think: I like to see your trading style. I am not. I was just trying to...

So you would trust your money to a CTA who is not risking his own money but who is "scrutinized by a national body"? But then you say: Hey if he trades his own money (even if it is just 10K) then I trust him? I find both comments contradicting. I would say: Education over Regulation. Another...

Does a CTA risk his own money? Is it published somewhere? Why would you need to be regulated if you do not have access or control of other peoples money? Regulations have not helped people who invested in Long Term Capital or Bernie Madoff. Or did I miss something? IMO the market is over...
