Thanks Skellington I was unaware that I could have that in the layout. Only been using IB for about 5 years:confused: HOV was one of the stocks I tried to short. I also tried to short USNA which I see should have been available but was told it wasn't at the time. Steve

Has anyone experienced problems today borrowing stock using IB? Usually I don't have many problems but today nearly every short I tried was refused due to there not being enough shares available to short. On of the most annoying things was my stop limits weren't being triggered as a stock broke...

Every bear market brings short selling under scrutiny, Just wait until the indexes have fallen another 20% and it won't just be the uptick rule but shorting under any circumstances that these guys will be calling for an end to. Steve

I agree 100% this most definitely cost me money today as stops I had on the system haven't triggered because of crossed quotes:( Trading is a big enough challenge without this crap

Anyone having problems with quotes stuck on their IB workstations. This is driving me nuts, particularly as it seems to screw up any automated stops I have on the system.
