Cheapest way to trade AUD/NZD pair with margin?

Trade cash FX for this pair on IB. Easy, liquid. Done it many times and will do again in the pair falls to parity or close.

Did Jeff Macke blow up or something?

I saw a post that he was broke, moved out of his offices in SF and really only had like $23M AUM anyway. True? If so, how did he get to be such an expert? I mean 23M?

Any other thoughts? Base building or, fundamentals be damned, is the dive finally happening? Any hard core TA types want to chime in?

Take a look at the chart on today's Oct. Futures. Short Term double top? Support at 21.25, then $19.50? Thoughts?

I am on board with this, essentially doing a Black Swan play, buying the best-priced, lowest-vol OTM puts you can find each month, and be willing to lose for quite a few months in a row, until you hit it right and then recoup you previous losses and then some. Going long futures insured with...

Might be worth a call or bull call spread to find out.

    New Coffee question

Well, we already had a Aug 1 -15 rally (and took my profits, thank you). Does this lessen the possibility/probability of an August 17-Sept. 1 rally?

    New Coffee question

Saw a story floating around about a strategy, from some outfit called Hard Asset Investor, I think, to buy KC on August 20 and sell on Sept. 1, a play yielding 10% regularly over the last forget-how-many years. Anyone else aware of this, think its credible, playing it?

Any brokers allow a US citizen to buy them? IB?

Agreed. I got a couple long puts out there in case the price does retrace a few cents. Shorting the futures now, though, just is too risky, a rookie mistake often, as someone here posted earlier.

I am going through my annual hair-pulling exercise with IB with regard to my FX trades and I just noticed in the CASH REPORT on the annualized calendar transaction summary, something called CASH FX TRANSACTION GAIN/LOSS. What is this? P/L foreign stock and futures trades reconverted back into...

    IB Forex Tax Question

Are there any short cuts to this method; it will take me days to do it this way. What about the pulling up an annual calender report and looking under cash report? Is there useful summarized data somewhere there? Looks like a mess to me. Is there any service, like Gains Keeper that can keep my...

How do I close trades when there is no bid / ask

I'm still lost on this one. Let's say I am long 1 contract of XYZ, bought at 24, and sold a call with a 25 strike for 1.50, and now the contract, which expires in a month is at 50. I want to close now, take a big loss on the call and a bigger gain on the contract, probably net like 1.40. But...

    Coffee futures options question

Well, IB should not advertise that it offers futures options on coffee, via ICE, at least not without the large caveat that you can not get quotes on the screen, for most months.

    Coffee futures options question

This is bizarre. How can IB say it allows you to trade KC options, if it doesn't show quotes for two out of three months? (Interactive Brokers are you listening?)
